WHAT IS A SMART CITY?
A smart city uses multiple software, user interfaces, and communication networks along with the Internet of Things (IoT) to provide connected solutions for the entire population inside.

- Residential community: The main subjects of a Smart City, are modern citizens, capable of participating in monitoring, and even coordinating to support city management.
- Natural environment: The core of Smart City is the application of technology for sustainable development, effective natural resource management, as well as good resistance to agents that cause natural environmental change.

WHY SMART CITY WOULD BE THE TREND IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS IN VIETNAM?
In the current “technological” era, in order to develop the economy and comprehensive urban infrastructure, it is necessary to have an urban model that meets the criteria of scientific and technological progress. Smart City is a digital transformation model from the old one, helping the city to integrate into the trend of intelligent technology globalization.
Smart city features such as energy saving and environmental efficiency, such as street lights dimming when sensors detect the streets empty. In addition to services, Smart City enables the provision of safety measures such as the use of sensors to enable early warning of incidents (floods, landslides, storms, or droughts, v.v.)
Smart buildings can also provide management and alerting features to let you know when repairs are needed. Residents can also access this system to notify the Management Board of any problems, such as broken street lights. In addition, sensors can also monitor infrastructure problems such as leaks in water pipes, gas leaks, v.v. to promptly prevent serious problems.

Smart Apartment Management applications can be considered one of the first steps in developing a Smart City on a small scale.
